Deaf people, for the majority of whom Polish is a foreign language, make up a growing group of computer and Internet users. However, the use of difficult and obscure language on the websites prevents them from full understanding of Polish-language content.
The increasing popularity of the web services which focus only and exclusively on audio-visual content with no subtitles or text is the reason for the exclusion of the deaf from access to information.
